As the Regional Manager, Shane is responsible for the the overall business operations in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines and Indonesia which include sales leadership, staff management and tactical strategy planning.
Prior to his appointment, Shane was the Manager of Red Hat's Asia Pacific Sales Engineering team and was directly involved in closing large Enterprise Linux opportunities. Prior to Red Hat, Shane held other managerial and technical positions at an Open Source collaborative software company, CollabNet Inc. and in the Linux Technology Center (LTC) at IBM.
Shane's other interests are traveling, baseball and rugby.

Mr Nick Carr joined Red Hat in 2002 and is Product Management Directorfor the Red Hat Enterprise Linux family of products. Born and educated in England, Mr Carr worked for Digital Equipment Corporation across Europe before moving to the United States. Mr Carr has over 30 years experience in the computer industry, covering server and storage hardware, and operating system software, in both proprietary and open source environments. Prior to joining Red Hat, Nick worked at Mission Critical Linux, EMC, and Compaq Computer Corp.
PATRICK CHAN

Research Director, Emerging Technologies
Patrick Chan, Ph.D., is currently with IDC as the Research Director,
focusing on emerging technologies like Service-Oriented Architecture,
Business Activity Monitoring, Composite Applications, Enterprise
Application Integration, Grid Computing, Enterprise Infrastructure, and
other emerging areas. Dr. Patrick Chan previously worked with standard
organisations OASIS as the Asia Pacific representative to support and
expand the consortium's activities across Asia/Pacific through focused
educational and business development activities. He has over 15 years of
academic and industry consulting experience, serving in roles as diverse
as technical director, global architect, e-government specialist,
business development and alliances director, and research scientist.
SECRETARY RAMON P. SALES
Commission on Information & Communications Technology (CICT) of the Philippines
Chairman
Ramon P. Sales is the newly appointed Chairman of the Commission on
Information and Communications Technology (CICT), a Cabinet-ranked
position reporting directly to the President. The Commission on ICT was
created by Executive Order of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo as a
transitory body to a Department of ICT which has yet to be legislated by
Congress. It is tasked with the development of ICT in the country.
Secretary Sales was an IT consultant prior to joining government service
in April 2006. He spent most of his professional career as a chief
information officer (CIO). He was an IT executive at the Bank of the
Philippine Islands (BPI) and the Citibank Philippines, responsible for
the development and execution of the banks’ overall IT strategy. He was
also part of BPI’s mergers and acquisitions. Secretary Sales also worked
for IBM Philippines where he held various systems engineering and
marketing positions. His responsibilities included handling IBM’s large
accounts in the airlines and banking Industries.
TOH BOON KIAT

Senior Solutions Analyst, Global Solution Team
Boon Kiat is a member of the Global Solution Team which works closely
with ISVs and system providers to identify and promote targeted,
best-in-breed AMD-based solutions to business requirements. His team
assist partners and end-users in applying ‘best practices’ techniques to
their IT and application environments, identifying emerging technical
requirements, and closing the loop with AMD’s engineering organisations.
He joined AMD in April 2006 with over 10 years of IT experience. Boon
Kiat started out in the aviation industry before joining Compaq as the
Product Manager for the Alpha RISC UNIX servers, working on a
supercomputing system in NTU, the largest bio-informatics supercomputing
cluster in Asia Pacific outside of Japan. He then took on product
development projects in the storage and server products in Hewlett
Packard. Boon Kiat has a Masters Degree in Electronics and Electrical
Engineering, in the Dainton Management Program from Imperial College,
London.

Vaughan Woods, Vice President and General Manager of Collabnet Asia Pacific, is leading the establishment of this Open Source vanguard throughout the Asia-Pacific region. In addition to powering the Red Hat 108 site, CollabNet solutions supports more than 60 Global 2000 companies and over 800,000 software developers. CollabNet has been recognized for its leadership with 10 major industry awards in 2006 including the Red Herring 100 and the Codie Award. Previously Director of IBM Rational for Asia Pacific, Vaughan has been involved in the software industry for more than 15 years and is a passionate advocate of customer service, value and industry transformation. Mr. Woods makes his home in Singapore.

Harsha has more than eight years of software engineering experience on a wide range of enterprise systems. As a Chief Technical Officer, he is involved in envisioning future direction for hSenid mobile products. He is also involved in deriving and maintaining road maps for hSenid mobile and Open Source products. He has been closely working and promoting hSenid’s Open Source HRM system, OrangeHRM from its inception.
Prior to joining hSenid, Harsha worked with Idiom Technologies, Inc as a Virtusa employee in the capacity of a Senior Software Engineer. Harsha is also one of the founders of the software startup SriLogic (pvt) Limited, where he worked as a Solutions Architect. Harsha has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.

Quah Hak Teng is a technical consultant at Red Hat Asia Pacific. Quah's responsibility involves creating and meeting demand for the Red Hat Enterprise Linux platform in ASEAN. A Red Hat Certified Engineer, Sun Certified Java Programmer and Certified Solaris Administrator, Quah facilitates the adoption of Linux among partners and customers with his many years of experience building the architecture and providing support for Linux and Unix solutions. Prior to Red Hat, he was a developer consultant and technology evangelist at Sun Microsystems, focusing on guiding enterprise solution developers.

As Oracle's senior manager for Independent Software Vendor (ISV) business development in Asia Pacific, Ramesh spearheads the Oracle–Red Hat Linux Enterprise Application Porting (LEAP) Center business , supporting migration and Oracle-Linux technology enablement of ISV solutions. He has more than 15 years' of IT experience in verticals such as aviation, banking, telecommunications, retail, and healthcare.
